Celeste is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who began working with the RSVP center as a Support Services Counselor in August 2021 and has ten years’ experience working with survivors of relationship and sexual violence. She utilizes trauma-informed approaches to promote a sense of survivor safety and empowerment.
Celeste has worked with survivors of interpersonal and family violence in diverse roles including investigations and case management in Adult Protective Services and as a therapist serving children, adolescents, and adult survivors of violence. These varied roles have allowed Celeste to develop knowledge and skills in trauma informed counseling practices, advocacy, and navigating resources and systems. Celeste has also worked with adults in substance use recovery and also has a background in suicide and crisis intervention.
Celeste obtained Bachelor’s degrees from Webster University in St. Louis in both Social Science and History and her Master’s in Social Work from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
