The USHIB is comprised of faculty, staff and students appointed by the chancellor and trained to investigate complaints involving allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination as defined by the Title IX federal law .
The USHIB investigates and decides how the university will resolve complaints referred to it by the university’s Title IX coordinator or the student conduct administrator and may impose sanctions, including those identified in the student judicial code, up to and including suspension and expulsion.
